Below are a few of the more important questions - a huge list is on its way...
1. Where is the festival?
Offset Festival takes place at Hainault Forest Country Park. Click here to see a map. The nearest postcode to the site is IG7 4QN.
2. When is the festival?
The event runs from 30-31st August - the weekend after bank holiday.
3. Can I come? Is it over-18s only?
Yes you can! The event is an all ages festival - under 12s are free if accompanied by a paying adult.
4. How much are tickets?
If you get them now, earlybird weekend tickets are just £35 for a full weekend, or £45 with camping. Get them here.
5. Is there alcohol?
Yes! Offset will have 2 large bars charging well-priced drinks.
6. Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes you can. Glass bottles are not allowed into the site and you cannot bring your own alcoholic drinks onto the festival site - these are both licensing requirements that cannot be waived. if you are camping you can bring your own alcoholic drinks into the camp site, but again, please no glass bottles.
7. How do I get to Offset?
Offset is really well served by public transport so we'd urge you to use trains and buses where possible. The closest station is Hainault Underground (Central Line) which is a 5 minute bus journey (the 247 bus) to the site.
The N8 nightbus also picks up close to the site and runs into London, into Tottenham Court Road. If you wish to travel by car to Offset, parking is available and costs just £2 per day (or all weekend if you don't move you car) - all proceeds go to the upkeep of the forest.
8. Can I volunteer at the festival?
Yes you can - you'll be fed and watered, plus you'll get to see some incredible bands! details on volunteering are here.
9. How do I get my band at this year/next year's festival?
You can apply online here, but be quick! We'll start accepting applications for 2009 straight after this year's event but you can bring a CD to Offset 2008 if you wish - we'll have a box for submissions near the main entrance.
10. Are you guys on Facebook/Myspace?
Yes we are - here's our Facebook event page, and here's our Myspace page.
11. Is there a newsletter for more info, last minute announcements, competitions, etc?
Yes there is - click here to sign up now.
12. Is there a page on this website with lots of streaming mp3s from the band playing so I can listen to them?
Visit the lineups page and click and band name to view pictures, videos and listen to tracks by the artist - some also have downloadable MP3s.
